Ruger Montado

I'm a newbie so maybe this information is old. But I have been trying to find a Montado for sale in my area. By coincidence I dialed up Davidsons and lo and behold they have over a hundred of them. The dealer in my area is selling them for $611. Naturally I ordered one...like a kid in a candy store. I had heard they were a limited production model and by the time I found out about them they weren't available. Anyway glad to be part of such an informative and friendly group. Maybe next time I can talk about my custom sheriffs model 3-screw Blackhawks, my 2nd generation Colt 44-40.

Howdy NRA, don't know if your aware the Montado is not approved for SASS, only for mounted shooting. If you bought it just to have a nice Ruger, or for mounted it's a dandy. I would suggest going to few matches before buying anything. Most folks are more than willing to let you try thier gear. Good luck.
