got 2 Uberti Cattleman irons.......now is it possible to swap out the grip backstrap with the birdshead style backstrap and grips? will it screw on ok?
is there any diffrence in the main springs or anything like that diffrent in the 2 guns?
i really like the birdshead grips but dont want to have to have to buy new irons to get them

Nope, never dun it.  But, such things are listed in the Brownell's catalogue.

For the most part, Uberti grip frames and trigger guard frames interchange with minor fitting.   I don't know which frame you mean when you say "Birdshead."  Most folks confuse the "Thunderer" grip frame for the "Birdshead" grip frame.  The "Thunderer" frame has a pronounced "hump" just back from the hammer.  The true "Birdshead" is a continuous raidus without the "hump." 
Be sure you know exactly what you want before your order.  Once you fit 'em, there yours.
