Wedge fer #62 Police

My liitle 62 is developing a habit of shakin loose its wedge after 3-4 shots,  the wedge doesnt dissappear inside the barrel sleeve, BUT it might decide to at a later date,

Soo. my question pards is.......
Has/does  anyone make/made  a `normal` type wedge  with a spring for the #62

does the wedge screw have a flat side on the factory one?

Nope.  Just went and checked an original to make sure my memory wasn't faulty.  The originals don't have a spring, so Uberti didn't include one with their reproductions.  Just bought a pair of .36 Pocket Navies to give complete action jobs to.  Them little buggers are a lot harder to smooth up than the Navy size frame.  Have a LOT of hours into them and am just now starting to get some improvement.  PUK.  Every time I see those fancy cap holders of yours I wish I had a set to try.

FYI the 60 Army wedge and the R/M Open Top wedges will switch, don't have a 62 to try it in.( but would space in the safe for one) My Navys are different makers. So i didn't try them

The wedge on a 62 Police is about half the size of a 60 Army or 51 Navy.  The 62 Police and Pocket Navy are built on the Colt 1849 size frame.

Like  Pettifogger  says.....
The wedge IS a LOT smaller, I`ve been `sniffing around other flavours ta see if there are any smaller ones     but even the Baby dragoon I saw had no spring. I think it looks like I`m gonna have ta make myself one.  

I got a lot on at the moment but as soon as I get the chance I will `be on it` I`ll keep ya`ll informed
