Which shell holder for reformed 50-90 to 45-75?

Just got my new brass in, it's from Buffalo arms and is reformed 50 90 starline brass.  The rim mikes at .625 if I remember rite and it's a hair to big for 45-70 shell holder.

Which one do I need?  Need to get two, one for the single stage press and one for the lee hand primmer.

Rcbs, Lyman, CH4d 50-70 holders should work, as to the lee priming tool you're likely sol.

Damn, that's what I was afraid of, well worst case I guess I could mill out a 45-70 shell holder to fit, but that's a pain to get set up.

 Or you could just buy one of the RCBS priming tools, the old style one , that uses the actual shell holder, and save the hassle of trying to modify something to work.
 I believe Hornady's priming tool uses regular shell holders also.

Don't let them talk you into the new RCBS priming tool, while its a great little gadget, and I really like mine, it won't take the 50 -70 case rims.

RCBS 31.  My Lee Auto-prime had to have the throat opened up for the cases but it won't take the big .50-90 or .50-70 rims either.  I just put a dowel in my drill press and use the table as the platform for the primer.

Thanks, got a # 31 RCBS ordered, I picked up an RCBS priming tool that takes the presses shell holders, hopefully it'll handle the big case, if not I'll make some sort of hand press.

Rifle should be in tomorrow, can't wait to try it out.

That rcbs tool will work just fine. It's the one I use to prime the big 50 cases.

That's right, it uses the regular shell holders unlike the Lee.  Should get me one....

Hobie, I don't know if they've changed the design over the last 15 years or not, but the biggest problem with that one is if you timp it upside down for any reason, without a cartridge in the shell holder the , idddyy biddy tiny rod that seats the primer will fall out and go wandering aimlessly about.
  Good thing is the nice lady that answers the phone at RCBS usually sounds sympathetic, and gets the new one out to you in the mail post haste.

Yep, the pin will fall out.  Make sure you put it in the rite way also, took a couple cases to figure out why I was deforming primmers!

I'm at a loss to figure how they can completely evaporate on a hardwood floor

Evaporate is right.  My question is, how in heck do they show up in the boxes after you've moved half-way around the world AFTER they've been lost?  True story.  I lost a little part of a camera and never could find it.  6 months or so later we packed up and left Korea and returned to the US.  2 months after returning we were settling into our "permanent" digs and unpacking.  Found the part, obsolete for some years.  Go figger.
