Hi,
I am visiting this site for the first time. What drives me into this site is my dream to be a cow boy.i has seen so many movies like wild Wild West. I love their outfit even I searched for boot like the cowboys usually wear and finally I got one .so what is this Mississippi State Black Powder Championship all about.

Just a question. Didn't SASS say there could be no state BP "Championship" it had to be called a "Shootout"? From what I understand the winner can't have the title of state BP "Champion", there can be no "overall" winner, only catagory winners. To earn the title of SASS (State) FC?? State Champion" You must do it at a regular SASS State Championship. Am I wrong about this? I know some of the States have changed the name of there BP shoots to Shootout.

Seems to me SASS ought to worry about catagories and lack of attendance at major shoots rather than how you define a State Champion. No one cares, if you win the Black Powder Shoot, call yourself the Grand Puba of Soot or whatever.

Just my two centavos, your milage may vary.

No doubt the true powder just doesn`t get a fair shake .....putting smokeless in reproduction guns it`s just a dang shame ..not the cowboy way for me ..

If gun cleaning is the problem , what about those proper historically correct duds ...are they more important ...and take alot of time keeping correct ..Just a though $:-\$
