Long Hunt Ruger

Does anyone in RATS Territory have a Ruger revolver that's been given the Long Hunt treatment?
If the answer is yes, I would like to hear your thoughts because I am seriously considering Long Hunt in the near future.

Yeah that's right, Long Hunter of Hartley, TX. They also do the USFA Rodeo gun. I live in the D/FW area and Hartley is up there near the New Mexico state line.

Great work.     Had a pair of 7 1/2" Vaqs. tuned and one short barrel birdshead Vaq.   Couldn't be happier.

If you will excuse my indirect answer, I'll proceed.

I have a pair of USFA single actions done up by Jim Finch (a.k.a. Longhunter).  They are perfect in every way.  Accurate, smooth, and function perfectly with the Holy Black.  He opened the sights, beveled the forcing cone, and did action work and springs -- the same treatment he gives to rooogers.  These are the first revolvers I've ever owned that have no lead splash on the cylinder faces after a match.  The work is top notch.

I found Jim to be helpful, professional, honest, and prompt.  I will do business with him in the future and recommend him to you without reservations!!!!

i had two nmv ruger in .45 colt worked on by jim finch(long hunter). he did action jobs and opened up the rear sights.
his work is meticulous,prompt,and a great improvement over the stock guns. i highly recommend him and his work.
the guns shoot great and i got them back very quickly.

i am quite sure that he will be doing more work for me in the future.

my only other  recommendation is to buy the guns from him in the first place and save yourself
some time. i would have if i had known about his website b-4 i bought my guns.
