Would it help if you told Lee we were praying for them??

Dick Dastardly

I called LEE in mid June and was told that there were 40 custom mold orders ahead of mine.  My order check was cashed by LEE last January.  I called last week and was told that my order was now #11 in the cue.  I called again yesterday and was told that my order was still #11 in cue.

Paying didn't seem to help much, maybe prayer will move heaven and earth to get them done.

If LEE would simply give a delivery date and stick to it, it would help me to keep my customers happy.

FWIW, I went to a different mold maker for the Big Lube™ Mk-III 45-70 mold.  Yes, they're more expensive, but they're here and many are already delivered.

Thanks Noz, we're all in this together.  I won't accept any payment until I can ship the order.  I wish LEE would do that instead of living off my money for over Six months.

DD,

Do we need to be placing an order to get our name in queue, or best to wait until your supplies come in?

From what I've learned, anybody can buy a custom mold.  Simply pay a $100 setup fee, supply a drawing, pay for the whole order and wait at least Six months.

What I'm trying to do is sell from inventory.  I order enough molds in a batch that I don't have to pay the $100.00 'setup' fee.  That fee is the same even after I've paid for the tooling. . .

So, anybody that's ordered molds from me is in the cue.  Their mold is ordered and paid for at LEE.  I never bill for, or accept payment for, any mold order until I can deliver.  So, paying ahead wouldn't speed anything up.  It would only tie up your money while you wait along with me.  So, I'll do the paying and we'll wait together.  As soon as I get a batch of molds from LEE I fill all back orders and then put the remainder in inventory.  I've got a LOT of money sitting on my shelves, but that's my choice and my risk.  I'm not asking any pards to take that kind of risk along with me.

Onlyist thing is, next time I hear some 'cowboy' grumble because I'm making a nickel, I'll let him know that I've got plenty of room for investors. . . .

Howdy Floyd,

The mold you are seeking is one I'm waiting for.  It should have been here by now.  Click on my banner below and then on bullet molds in the menu.  A pop out box will come out and you can click on 'Mav Dutchman'.  I  don't have them in stock, but should soon.  You can place an order for one and I won't charge your plastic till I can actually ship your order.

The Mav Dutchman is a very successful black powder design and is enjoyed by many black powder SASS shooters and many sportsman.  I load it in my 44 Magnum guns and it's great.  Ol Mav originally designed the bullet for the 44-40 and it's the best bullet yet for the high volume of SASS match shooting.  Never lose function and never lose accuracy.  Cleanup is a snap.  I use a spritz of moosemilk and a tug of the boresnake.  It's done faster than I typed that.
