I've been checking into a new coach gun and have narrowed it to these two...was wondering about any pros and cons of either. I guess one of the things I was wondering about, is resale. Does one brand have preference over another as far as CAS popularity? Thanks.

Major 2

I've used both... out of the box the Russian was stiff, but Tank tough, it had external cockers (not true hammers)
Pre- Remington deal (It came from American International Arm in Florida)
It was about $40 cheaper than the Stoeger.
It took to a bit of polishing and worked well, European walnut ... I paid $280 NIB for it in 2000.

The Stoeger Coach Gun was pre- Beretta Deal.
I think it was about $320 NIB , opened well but needed a bit of polish, the extractor needed de-burred and the chambers needed polishing to get empties to fling.
Jungle Mystery wood.

Traded the Russian for the Stoeger even on a whim , both were 12 Gauge
Sold the Stoeger for about $300

I since bought a TTN SXS in 2004 ...I have not looked back, sweet right out of the box, and TANK TOUGH ...
when planets align...do the deal !

Ten Wolves Fiveshooter
