2 or 3 years ago I bought 5000 from Sportsman's Warehouse for $2.75/100. Of course  I immediately sold 1000 to a friend at that price. Down to about 500 now. Thanks for the "heads up. WOW!

Yes.  I just phoned them.  They can't get Remington caps, for some reason.  $38.49 for 100 CCI Mag caps isn't bad, but ya better go together in a group to buy or the $20 HAZMAT fee will kill ya.  One thing I found out, 'tho ... Caps, primers and powder can now be shipped TOGETHER in one box up to 70 lbs.

Caps and maybe primers (I forgot to ask about primers) come 5000 in a case.

They don't sell BP, however.

Before you go loading up on caps you want to be sure if the size is what you are going to use a lot of. Caps not only vary in diameter, they also vary in length which cann effect which nipples they will go onto and stay onto. In order of size from the smallest to the largest are:
RWS 1055
CCI#10
RWS 1075
Rem#10
CCI#11
Rem#11

Half of my guns take the RWS#1075 and the other half take the CCI#11 but ALL of them take the Rem#10 which is a thinner walled cup that is pre-split so there is more "give" when pressed onto the nipple. The Treso and Thunder Ridge SS nipples like the Rem#10s the best. I have made sure that the nipples on my C&Bs take the Rem#10 so I only need one cap size for all.

My local Gander Mountain store stocks Remington number 10s for 4.99/hundred as of yesterday.  If you have one near you, you might try them.

I have found the RWS caps to be the best with the remmie a close second.

There is a lumber store near parents farm that stocks the rws caps at same price as cci - so easy choice.

That all being said i just got guns with treso nipples and if remmies work all the time good to go on them then i will save some money and buy them in bulk.

I have never seen the rws in bulk.

I have never liked the CCI #11 Magnums.  They seem to be too "hot", and blow apart too much, frequently getting cap fragments stuck in the revolver's "guts" and jamming them up.  CCI regular number 11's, on the other hand, work OK for me.
