Serial no. 2924, 25-inch barrel with marking at breech: NEW HAVEN CONN. PATENT FEB. 14, 1854. Silver-plated brass frame and buttplate, with scroll engraving on both parts.; German silver front sight blade; blued adjustable sight dovetailed at top of breech. Barrel assembly and majority of steel parts blued; high gloss varnished walnut stock. Stock length of 14 1/2-inches measured along line from intersection with frame to toe of buttplate.
