Howdy fellas,

I was going through some of my old patterns and came upon a old Tandy Leather Company pattern called Hog Leg Holsters Pattern Pack. There's a pattern for a powder flask holder that slides onto your belt along with your holster for your old cap and ball revolvers. My question is, are these powder flask holders a period thing or is it a 20th century invention?
I have always carried mine in my pocket but the holder looks handy.
Thanks for any light you may shed on this subject.

I think this got discussed a little while back, and was decided to be a 20th century thing, BUT, I have the same pattern set and like the holder myself.
I wish they would reissue some of these old pattern packs. :(

Thanks fellas.

I guess I'll just keep putting it in my poke and save the leather. ;D

Last discussed on March 15 - it's on the second page of this forum, and it's titled 'Powder Flask Holster'.
