I posted this a while ago and no responces. . .

Who knows, . . or where can I find, . . original specifications for New Model Army bore, groove depth, and cylinder throat ( ie. bore ) dimentions ?

Some one of you Remington lovers either has this information, knows where I can find it, or has an original they can measure ? . . .

Here's a link to the Remington collectors assn. They might be able to help you.

Thanks, . . I look over there also, . . I'd figured someone of the regulars around here must have an original and a dial caliper handy ?

Ah, that's different. Maybe this is a good excuse to go buy one.  ;D

Hello Gents,
Wolfgang, I measured a NMA conversion I have. Groove to groove=.424. Land to land .413.
Back of cylinder .434 front of cylinder .427.  I don't know if this helps.

Steel Horse, Charlie has moved and is getting set up at another ranch. I don't believe he has internet access.

Tubac, thanks.  Yeah - I'd heard that he was moving.  Something about horses, IIRC.  I assume that if he can't "communicate" with us, then "NO News is Good News."

Tubac, . . . Thanks for the barrel spec.s   Though .424 sounds very tight.  Ya sure that is correct ? . . Remplicas such as my Pietta are .454 .    I still crave to know what the Cab & Ball cylinders chamber bore dimentions are.  Good to hear what's happened with Charlie, . . he's missed.  Hopefully will be on line soon.

ps.  Tubac, . . what cartridge is your original conversion chambered for ? . . is that for the .44 Rimfire ?
