Going on furlough - Acting Commander appointed

I will be going on furlough tomorrow to visit my daughter attending school in Europe this semester.  Mother decided she needed a visit - I suppose any excuse to visit Europe counts (though economically it couldn't be at a worse time!).

In my absence, Bvt Col Pitspitr is appointed acting commander of the GAF.  He has my authorization to make any decision that can't wait until my return (on Easter).

Given all the new recruits, I suspect everyone will be too busy at the sutler's to even notice I'm gone.

You can apply for a furlough anytime you want to take one.  However, unless we have a good acting website officer to take care of the minor hiccups that tend to occur if you're not going to be around a computer, I might have to turn it down.
