45 Colt Championship

The very First 45 Colt Championship will be held during the NCOWS National Shoot . The event of the Year, which is sponsored by Black Hills Ammo Smokeless Division , and Goex /Black Dawge Ammo Black Powder Division . The Smokeless Division will be shot on Friday after the Main match is completed for the day . The Black Powder Division will be shot Saturday following the completion of the  Main Match . There will be 3 mini Stages for each Division and there will be 2 shooting Classes per Division (Shootist Duelist ) Hope you plan on shooting this event . At this time we can accommodate 50 Smokeless Shooters and 50 Black Powder Shooters .

Rowdy, together Jim Mullins and I have written 6 mini stages. So no one has an edge shooting one day and turn around and shoot the same stages again. This way any shooter can shoot both days if they have a mind to and enjoy different stages. You know might ought to get more ammo. I think we are going to enjoy, have fun, and want to do it again. NCOWS members you need to make this National Shoot, if not you're really going to miss a good time. See you there, buy some Black Hills and Black Dawge and break those 45's out. TJ

Well Pards, I couldn't find any Black Dawge Ammo around here. Wanted to see how my revolvers would shoot those bullets. So I got on the phone and called Jerry Dean of Black Dawge(1-877-833-1799) and asked him if I could buy 2 boxes from them. The answer was YES. Now have 2 boxes on the way to my house I'll soon know how it shoots. Sure want to thank Jerry and Black Dawge for suppling the ammo for our black powder part of the NCOWS 45 Colt Championship. If you can't fine the ammo in your area give Jerry a call. Be sure to say THANKS for what they are doing for us. TJ

Well Buddy since you asked   I love my 44/40 Schofield, so two 7 inch 45 colt Schofields. I do get to take them home with me after the shoot, don't I ?  TJ
