Are we now headed in this direction?

Some folks on the UK shooters board were warning others about the increase in the prices of Pietta and pointed to a web site. Now we are all worried about the direction this administration and congress may be headed if they find the time to further protect the public with gun control measures. They have learned a lesson and will chip away at us until we end up with what our friends have currently in the UK (you know the same guy's who came up with the magna carta?).

You need to look at what our future may be by looking at this sutlers web site. Nice looking Pietta's huh? Shocked at the price are you? Well look closely my friend these our what our English cousins call "blank firers".

There may be a day when we are just thrilled to pay this kind of money for a "blank firer" so that we may pretend we are shooting at a steel plate. They are thrilled just to get one that is "forward venting" so they can see a little smoke go out the barrel.

Check it out! www.sutlers.co.uk/acatalog/NPguns.html

They sure are nice looking pistols. Can't afford that price for one that shoots real cartridges let alone blanks.

Cartridges?? From revolvers?? If only!!!

But yes, thats the kind of thing we have to put up with over here, I think its called profiteering, screwing the buyer, y'know, that kind of thing.
Our suppliers are only interested in getting as much money from us as possible before someone bans every bloody thing that people enjoy!

Roll on death, lets get at the angels!!!
(But not too soon!)

PS.  Those nice looking pistols from the Sutlers Stores are drilled and pinned thru the barrel wedge so you can't take them apart,

These type of pistols are the ones that we also use for Fast Draw comps.

Some have front venting barrels which makes it more interesting, so not only do we have to beat your opponents time but we also have a small knockdown plate about 3 feet away, if you miss it with the blast from the B/P blank, you have lost!

Believe me when I tell you, it can be missed!

Problem is that the internals of these Italian made guns take a hammering and wear out fast!

Just another small snippet of a shooters life in the UK.
