RandD makes a great conversion cylinder.  Mine fit in right out of the box,  but some folks end up having to do a little tweeking to make it work right.  The conversion cylinder will be in 45 colt.  Add black powder or sub to the loads and the casual observer wont be able to tell you are not firing percussion.  I have said this before, but worth repeating.  If you buy your gun and cylinder from Taylors, they will fit it for you free.  Just make sure you ask for them to do it when you place your order.  I know it wont help you because you already have your gun.  Regards.  Deadeye.

I'll claim prejudice here in favor of the Kirst Konverters.  Walt has just announced a very fine drop in Kirst Konverter cylinder and ejector rig for the 60s.  I'm getting a brace of 60s and will be putting Kirst Konverters in both of them.

I now have Three Kirst Konverter cylinders.  Two are for my ROAs and one is for my lil spur trigger Remington .31.  Fit and finish is superior to original factory cylinders.  Timing is perfect.  A complete joy to shoot.

My sidekick, Silas McFee has Kirst Konverters in each of his C&B guns.  One is an ROA, the other is a Remington 58.  Again, fit, finish and function is flawless.

Just cuz I like the way they feel and point, I've got a brace of 60s coming my way.  Soon as they come round the corner they're off to Walt Kirst for a couple of Kirst Konverter cylinders and cartridge ejector rigs.

I imagine myself pullin' 'em and lookin' jest like Clint Eastwood. . . . .  Of course, I'll be shootn' 'em Gunfighter. ;D
