Please join me in welcoming the following new recruits to the Grand Army of the Frontier.

518   SILLY BILLY                           ID     Platte
519   DIRTY DOG DAVE                   ID     Platte
520   Daniel Shealy                          SC    Atlantic
521   MULEE PETE                          UT    Platte
522   BOW VIEW HAYMAKER           NE     Platte
523   DR BIRNEY ZOUAVE                SC     Atlantic

Silly Billy and Dirty Dog Dave were both enlisted by Mud Marine.

It took me a bit longer to get to these new enlistments than I had anticipated after returning from my trip overseas.  However, now that Bvt Lt Col Eagle Eyes Jefferson is taking over the duties of Enlistment Officer, I won't be able to use that excuse for myself any longer.  ;D

Drinks on the new recruits down at the Sutlers.

I understand the obligatory grace period to be 6 months to 1 year for claiming ignorance as an excuse after that I am on my own and have no further recourse. Just kidding. Welcome troopers and enjoy the ride.

EEJ, howdy!

Perhaps YOU have received the General's request for enlistment.  All we gotta do is get him a number and put his name "on the books!"

Hey Steel Horse,

As of this afternoon I had not received the enlistment information on "the General". As soon as I receive it I will get him his number and the appropriate enlistment information. You know how slow this new fangled internet can be. Have a great day and congratulations on your new position, sir. I salute you.

I received "The General's" enlistment application this morning and will forward it to Bvt Lt Col Eagle Eyes Jefferson for processing.

Unfortunately, and for some unknown reason, I've been unable to post messages on The Barracks or send private e-mails from work lately so I'm having to wait until I get home to take care of GAF business.

Thank you gents.  Your attention to this is GREATLY appreciated!

I had an idea that those pre-1900 electrons were perhaps to blame.  Well, the "changeover" MAY have something to do with it, too, I guess.  ;)

Col.

I received the last two but for some reason did not receive the Generals enlistment data. The last two were before the site went down.
