Once again GAF has been asked to do the color guard for the opening ceremonies at Winter Range.  There were six participants last year which worked out well.  If we can get more folks involved this year it would be even better.  Here is the chance to get decked out in our military finery and show our stuff to the rest of the world.  If you will be there (or near by) and would like to participate, please let me know.  You can respond to this posting, pm me, or e-mail me direct at:

The opening ceremonies are usually at 7:00 AM on Thursday and we'll meet a half hour ahead of time to get organized.  This year I's like to show off a variety of uniforms if possible, so if you have something a bit unusual (Span-AM, CSA, etc) wear that instead of cavalry blue.  Of course appropriate sabers, rifles, etc. add to the presentation.

thanks in advance,

Col Sagebrush:

Gotta decline, Sir!  I wll be on active duty at Ft Flat Water.
But I would love to go to WR 2008.  And also definately be in your Color Guard.
So far I have been in at least a dozen GAF Color Guards, I reckon.

Doing a Color Guard is one of the most fun things you can do at a shoot.
And folks are very emotionally stirred watching our Colors come flying in.
And they LOVE to see authentic-looking troopers, soldiers & sailors carrying them.

C'mon fellers!  Anyone going to Winter Range----Please ponder signing up.

Respectfully,
Mustang Gregg

PS:  Col Sagebrush:  You might make a post on the SASS Wire mentioning the Color Guard.
