A mystery that will most likely never be solved.  So did a photographer happen to be ready when they brought him in?  Possible, but also possible neither picture is him.  Have seen to many set up, ren-acted photos to put a lot of faith in the fact "the capture of Billy the Kid" is any more genuine.  ;)

It could be solved if they ever use that high tech facial profiling technology I've seen on TV. That stuff is bulletproof according to the experts. Personally, I think it is the Kid. If that ain't Pat Garrett on the left then Bob's your uncle!!  ;)

So you think Pat Garrett was above doing a later posed photo? ;)

Don't matter if both, one or the other or neither is The Kid, the question was if Bib Shirts were PC. ;)  Of course there is also the question of if Pat Garrett was "sporting" in his shooting of The Kid.  Don't make no differance there either, he most likely got the job done, despite some folks later claims. ;)

A bib front shirt aka a fireman's shirt was included in the treasure recovered in the Steam ship Arabia. (It went down in 1856.)
