I am looking for some real brass (as opposed to brass plated) 1/2" round studs for a shotgun belt I am doing...does anyone know of a source?

Also, what do you use to blacken brass?

I ask because the fella wants a black belt with blackened brass studs...I seems to remember some folks talking about this a while back....
