Howdy!

Does any after-market mfgr. make a replacement steel trigger guard for the 1875 (Uberti) Remingtons?

Also, if the lanyard ring assy. from the 1890 can be ordered from VTI, would it be legal to install?  The serial number is right where the hole would have to be drilled.

Thanks!

Steel Horse,

The 1875 Remington's that I have from EMF have the steel trigger guard and the serial number is offset so a lanyard ring can be added with out too much difficulty.  I beleive that I saw a blurb on someone who had added the lanyard rings and restamped the serial number.  You may wish to get in contact with EMF to find if they have parts or can suggest where the parts may be obtained.

SHB,

Check VTI's website. The former Uberti parts website used to list the steel triggerguard.
Gun Parts Corp used to have a few types of lanyard rings. One of these would likely work or could be massaged into working.

I have ordered the lanyard ring assy from VTI in the past. I'm sure you can get it from them.
It is much closer to correct than anything else on the market. They do not ship it with the circlip so be sure to ask for that part also.

This is the part number for the whole assembly:

Hey Steel Horse, Rattle Snake Jack has a brace of 1875's with lanyard rings that he installed or had installed(?). You might ask him.
