I just went to their web site an there are (small) pics up now on the floating paper.  They look to be SS or Nickle.  Looks like they are only in 7.5" for the '75 & 8" for the '58.  That's fine with me.  I am kinda partial to the long barrels on Rems!
Just a little longer....!!!!

Should be interesting to see how USFA handles the flood of orders they will get.

Hey Don!

Does that include YOUR order?  ;D  I'd sure love to be one of those ordering!  All models, by the way.  Oh, well ...

Jeff,  As soon as they come out with the particulars I will likely order a 75 unless it is priced way too high.   I noticed that USFA took down the floater they had on their website today.  I suspect they started getting calls and are not ready to start taking orders yet.
I need to get out and shoot.  Hopefully, March will have decent weather.

I'm jealous.  My wife's response would be more like, "Like heck you're going to get one."  Mind you, that's the cleaned up version.   ;D

There is a similar thread running over on the SASS wire (I see some of you posted there). It is amazing how ANTI-USFA that Sixgun Shortly guy is :o

USFA does a really nice job.........PERIOD

I, for one, hope to see this project come to life. And why not in multiple calibers? The makers, in their day, supplied what the market demanded ;)

The SASS Wire is full of Colt snobs. There was a recent thread that ran about 5 pages or so re Colt vs. any clone and it got plain nasty. As bad as Harley owners!!  ;D ;)

They can have their modern Colts. Don't want 'em.

Yep,  he is anti USFA.  I attempted to challenge him a bit on his wayward thoughts.  Sixgun Shorty has had some personal experiences with USFA, many of us have not had.   I really dont like it when people make blanket statements like that and then offer no support.  It is interesting that people can get away with bashing certain companies on SASS, but when others are critical of Big Ed, the thread is pulled by the moderator.

You hit the nail on the head here!

I had problems with a Chapparal 1876 ( we actually bought 5 at the same time and they were all wrought with problems). When I tried to tell the SASS membership to be carefull he and his  :-* piled on me llike poo. Then the moderators covered it up like a cat.....................It's funny that they will not allow"Vendors" to sell on their site, and he is the biggest offender :-\

The guy you are referring to is the biggest offender, he's always soliciting business on the wire.  Long Hunter finally called him on it one in one of those "discussions."   (I think the whole thing finally got pulled.)  I like USFA products.  Only problem is they are usually way behind on delivering new models, or sometimes not delivering at all, and even where certain models are in "production" getting one is almost impossible.  What I hope they make is a decent priced .36 Remington C&B built on the original small frame size.  Of course, there is a small market for a lot of the guns USFA is proposing to build.  Heck, Ruger even gave up on the Old Army.  Not going to be much market for a thousand dollar plus Remmie cap and ball.  If they are closer to $500.00, I'd buy a pair.  Sure hope USFA fares better than Hartford Armory.

I was an early SASS Wire member, 1998 or '99. It was great there then. Now it's "gamer" heaven and as pointed out here in this forum, biased. IMO the Rem. '58 by USFA will probably be a special run like the approx. 50 1851 RM conversions they did a few years ago. I know a guy who has one of these and it is fantastic. The thing I find incredible is that people don't realize how much money it takes to make a nice clone. Sure, they will be expensive. So is a Harley or a Colt. It's your money & you decide how to spend it.

The Anti-USFA "mob" is usually full of Colt-aholics who can't come to terms with the fact that someone else is making a superior SAA or other replica of a Colt or other manufacterer.  Colt has lost so much market share in the civilian sector, it is a wonder they are still in business.

Unfortunately, these will be thousand dollar cap and ball Remmingtons, with the '75 model even more expensive.  I don't have anything against USFA and I don't own Colts either, but at those prices they might as well make them limited runs 'cause I shore can't afford them.
Of all the things I've lost over the years, it's my mind that I miss the most!
