What's the problem with Marble Buckhorn sights?

Seems every set of Marble buckhorn sights I've seen on a lever action rifle is mounted "off" a bit, as if it were pounded out imperfectly by a real 19th century blacksmith instead of CNC-manufactured.

And everytime I order a rifle, sure enough I get one with the rear sighted canted funny or positioned 15 degrees off counterclockwise or something like that.

What gives?  Are these sights just naturally "unique" or something?

Can a counterclockwise-canted sight be fixed by twisting with a pair of pliers?  Or is that asking for trouble?

Dovetails have tolerances and the sights have tolerances.  Sometimes they don't match.  If you are talking the sight is off from side to side, you can usually compensate a little my moving the front sight and getting the rear closer to center.  If you are talking the rear of the sight itself is twisted, you can twist it a little with padded pliers.

More the latter.  I might try that.  Thanks.
