Hello the Camp
The Montana Standard, dated Nov 18 of this year (I would post it, but I already used the paper to start a fire).  There was a fire around Missoula this year (The Jocko Lake Fire).  During clean up, they found remains of an old hunting camp- at the site they have found 17 Spencer cases.  The name of this site is 'the Spencer site'.
The first case was identified by a man who owns a Spencer- I hope he is on this board, and can keep us posted ;D

Neat! I am always looking for Spencer cases and no luck yet. I have found inside primed 45-70, 45 Colt, and a 40-60 case up at the cemetary, but no Spencer cases.

I use a metal detector and have found lots of Spencer cases in Idaho, more than Henrys.  I'd love to find a stash like that one!  Plenty of Benet primed 45-70 drops and fired too.
