I'm thinking pretty hard about ordering an 1863 Pocket Remington, steel frame of Pietta manufacture. Midway claims 30+ days for delivery. Don't see it listed at Dixie. Thunder Ridge seems to have it, and I'll try contacting them, but does anyone know where else may have them?

I'd like to get an R&D conversion cylinder for .32 S&W to go with it. I couldn't find it on R&D's site. The only place I found it was Taylor's. They list it as for use in the steel frame version of the 1863 Pocket Remington in .36 caliber, manufactured by Pietta and go on to say it converts it to 32 S&W. I wrote to ask if they mean Pocket Remington in .31 caliber, but no response after two weeks.

I thought Midway carried these at one point, but couldn't find them today. Does anyone know where to get one of these besides Taylor's?

Thanks,

grym

Cabela's carries the steel pocket Remington.

I can't explain the Taylor's cylinder caliber description other than to say that the Taylor's website has LOTS of Typos and screwups.

If you want a straight and accurate answer about items Taylors carries,   call them.   They will be very helpful on the phone.  I rarely  order items right off of a website due to inaccuracies and stock not really being available.

I agree with this whole-heartedly. I always order from them on the phone and haven't been disappointed yet.

Tried emailing Taylor's again today. Nice lady named Sue got back to me right away and said the cylinder is for a .31 caliber 1863 and converts to S&W 32 cartridge. She said they're taking orders, but don't know when they'll get them in. I ordered mine anyway. Now I just have to go order the gun to go with it.

I am still waiting for my 1849 pocket pistol.  The RandD cylinder is still sitting at my FFL waiting for the gun to come in.  Come on Uberti, vacation time is over.
