Swapping Hammers on a New Vaquero and Vaquero

Does anyone know if the hammers are interchangeable between the New Vaquero and the older larger size Vaquero?

Yep, they are interchangable.  I put two OMV hammers into a pair of NMV's because it was easier for me to cock them with the shorter spur on the old style hammer.

is that a sass approved mod since bisley aren't and sbh put you in modern class

A Bisley or Super Black Hawk hammer is a completely different configuration that the hammers on the Vaqueros.  When this question came up, Wes Fargo, the guru of Ruger, was able to show that some New Vaqueros actually came from the factory with the old style hammer.  So, this isn't considered a modification.
