Howdy Pards,

Last weekend I shot "Mississippi Fandango" with a great posse including my sidekick, Silas McFee.  Seven stages were shot on a beautiful fall Saturday.  Sunday, in the mist and drizzle, we shot the last three.  Saturday I shot my 44 Mag RVs, my 44 Mag B92 and my big heavy 10ga SxS.  I was one of Five that were shooting the "Renegades" class.  That means we don't need no stinkin' timers.

Sunday, I shot my old brass backstrap ROAs with Kirst Konverters stoked up with C45Spl brass and EPP-UG bullets over a compressed load of 1.3cc of FFFg Holy Black.  Same rifle but switched to the 16ga SxS.  What a grin.  I think it's still there.  That little bullet flew so fast and accurate that I thought it was a death ray.  NO pistol misses.  This load moves that lil bullet along at 950 fps.  The boom, flames and smoke were just fine.  The boom and clang come almost simultaneously.

Yes, the big Warthog 44s were fun, but the lil EPP-UG was a pure joy to shoot Gunfighter.  Pete, if you were lookin' on from above I know you had to smile.  Thanks pard.

Friday, ok.  Saturday, great.  Sunday, - - - yup, Fandrizzle.  Made the smoke hold in the canyon.  The "Fog of War" was real and the term was experienced.  Love the Holy Black on a Sunday. . .
