In my preparing for life after shoulder surgury I picked up a pair of .32 Single Sixes with the short grip.  I know the Vaquero grip frame should fit, but I really like the SBH with the square back trigger guard frame.  I was wondering if anyone had ever done this, since it seems nothing is ever an original idea.

I was given a cheap way to extend the grips by using Vaquero grips and a woodspacer.

The good news is that the hole pattern spacings on the SBHK and the Super Single-Six are the same.  The only problem that comes is when you fit ANY new gripframe to ANY Ruger single action, which is grinding and polishing so the metal-to-metal surfaces match.  You might contact Ruger to see if they will do it for you.  The other question is if you want the Super hammer installed.  May not be necessary, but that's up to you.  If you do send the guns to Ruger, they may replace all the innards to bring the gun "back up to factory specs", which may ruin a good after-market trigger job.
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!

Thanks for the info.  I was not interested in the SBH hammer.
