Howdy.  I didn't die.  I haven't fallen off the face of the earth.  I still live and breathe.

Life's just gotten hectic and busy.  Probably will be until after the first of the year.

I'm a Hunter's Safety Instructor for the state of Missouri, now.  And Eddie Eagle for the NRA.  And an officer with a local group that does an annual Civil War Festival.  As well as many, many events and fundraisers throughout the year.  And local revitilisation, etc.

Bringing history to life and life to history...  that's our motto.

Anyway...  I'm around.  Alive.  Etc.   Just so's ya know.

Long days and pleasant nights,
Will

That's good to hear!
Never feel like you have to appologize for taking an active part in those types of activities.  The GAf encourages it's members to be active in all facets of the their communities, shooting sports and historical activities.

Will,  What part of Missourah, y'all from and what/where/when is the CW festival you speak of?

Will Dearborn

I'm in Waverly, Missouri.  It's around Lexington, Marshall, Sedalia.  THe Civil War Fest is June 28-29, 2008.  We do many more things than the fest, though.  Oct. 27th is Supper on the Santa Fe Trail.  Soup and stuff from big kettles outside.  A fiddler and a band to play.  Dancing Virginia's Reel and stuff.

Several auctions are coming up, but there aren't any dates set.  Civil War paintings, clothing (reenactment stuff) '51 Navy, etc.

I'm trying to get a CAS shoot for 2009.

My period wedding is Oct. 11th, 2008.

I'll keep you informed.  Send me an email and I'll add you to our lists.

We also have a support and historical group called "Jo Shelby's Iron Brigade".  We'll be taking members in a month or two.

Long days and pleasant nights,
Will
