Howdy!

I was doing some routine maintenance on my 1858 NMA Remington that I've done so much work on.  It's NOW a really nice gun, if I say so myself. (it's on the right.  ;))

Well, I was going to switch nipples and the durn nip BROKE in half on the threaded part!  :o  I attempted to remove it with an E-Z out.  Too hard - the thing laughed at me.  So, onto the drill press I go.  Well, due to the fact of the nipples being machined in at an angle, and me not having proper tools or hold downs (and perhaps not enough skill) I broke numerous drills and ended up having the drill point wander off into the threaded part of the cylinder wall.  And the remaining portion of the nipple STILL won't come out.  (By the way - in case you're wondering, yes - I DO remove them EACH time I shoot for cleaning and use a good thread lube to keep it from locking up.  I'm sure it was a defective part.)

Here's whut I need.  Do any of y'all who have converted yer Pietta Remingtons to cartridge guns have any C&B cylinders sittin' around collecting dust that ya might wanna part with?  I'm not made of money, but I'll do the best I can.  Shucks - I'd buy a Kirst or an R&D cylinder if I could afford it, but that's another dream for the future.

I certainly can still use mine as a five-shot cylinder, but I'd like to have a good one.  Or more.

Thanks.  (I'm gonna post this on the SCORRS site as well as the Darksider's site, so bear with me.)
