Thanks. I saw one at Buffalo Gun Center that had noticeable grooves just ahead of the approaches.

How many rounds have you put through your guns?

Have me a pair of em in 44 and a single one in 36.  All three shoot real well - just a little high and windage pretty much right on.  Of course, I widened the hammer notch to get the POI down and a little right.  Dont shoot the 44s them on a regular basis - maybe two or three matches a year; and the 36 is a back up to my regular brace.  They get lots of comments when I do shoot them.  Bought all of them used (and in one case abused).  The one hadn't been cleaned very well at some point and had some rough spots on the frame barrel and cylinder.  A few hours with polishing points on a dremel tool took care of those spots.  It also had a bad bolt in it and the timing was off.  Some VTI replacement parts and a few more hours fixed it right up.
