Need some help here, Pards & Pardettes.

Got a Norinco 12ga Coach gun SxS Exposed Hammer with some a bad seer pin(s) and hammer assemblies for both right and left side.  Yep - it's one of them Chinese rascals.

Took it to my gunsmith, but, he couldn't find an outlet for ordering parts.  If any help can be extended here, I'd sure appreciate it a bunch!

Hate to turn this pretty little gun into a wall-hanger.

And, just for kicks and I ain't looking to do this, but - just how do you dispose of a broken gun that can't be repaired anyhow?

Find a new gunsmith?

Not much detail to determine what the problem is, but eriously, the parts in question can likely be re-worked or simple replacement parts can be made (pins).

Well, I'm trying to get ahold of I.A.C. via Marty, but, he's a mite hard ta' reach now.  Must be something to do with all the bad weather going on.

I did open her up on both left and right sides and did a comparison inspection.  The Right side hammer is rounded out from where it mounts onto the square shank and retained by a screw.  It is also missing a spring that keeps tension on the seer spring.  Okay - these two items have to be replaced, obviously.

Problem with my gunsmith is that he ain't really inta "cowboy" smithin and didn't have any suppliers for parts.  He's a good guy - just had a problem, is all.  I'll keep enough business ta' him so he'll get more inta it. ;)

Try Coyote Cap for your parts?  He might be able to lead you in the right direction

Well, Rooster it'll be going to Nate Kiowa Jones of Steve's Guns, fer repairs if possible.

It's not an I.A.C. manf. shotgun, so Marty couldn't help out with ordering parts.  It is an INTRARMS which I have discovered are nearly impossible to get ahold of.  Leastways - I haven't been able to as of to date.

And the second question still stands.  Only this time - I'll clarify it abit more.  And "Send it to me's" are not an option.

You could sell it with the understanding that it needs work. Someone might want it for parts. Personally I think it can be repaired without too much effort or cost. The hammer can be repaired by welding the hole shut, drilling a new one and filing it to fit the square portion of the tumbler. Someone who messes with muzzleloaders can do this.

That's an option that we may do.  Well, probably will do if the parts can't be found.  I'll let Nate call the ball on that one.

The Norinco exposed hammer double is a M99.  Coyote Cap should have the parts you need, even the replacement hammers.  Nate or Cap would do a fine job fixen it up if you didn't want to do it yourself.

There are guns that are 'out of fix' but I dont think the term 'to despose of' applys to guns.
A good 'nuff smith can fix it, re-arrange it, or make another gun out if the fallen debris.

to answer your disposal question, the receiver must be cut so that it would be impossible to reassemble. Anyone who knows anything about fabrication knows that is pretty much impossible. I purchased a Suomi submachine gun "parts kit" a while back from cheaper than dirt. They sent the whole thing, and the receiver had been cut in 2 places with an acetylene torch. Good enough for the ATF. I also have the rear half of an M-14 receiver which appears to have been snapped in half. Even though these are full-auto weapons, they have been rendered destroyed, and are legal to own by anyone, or thrown in the dumpster if so desired.

Someone, I don't know who, took an old revolver, good 'n busted, ta folks what destroyed firearms regular.  Asked 'em ta do away with it.

They told whoever it was what paperwork was required.  Don't know that ta be true.

The unknown fella decided it weren't worth the trouble 'n said 'never mind'.  Waited 'til he went nights, drove over a bridge 'n threw the thing in the river.  No paperwork, no muss, no fuss.  Or, was it the bay?  Old story, don't remember which.  Maybe the ocean.  Don't think it was a lake.

"How do you legally dispose of a non-functional and unrepairable firearm?"

I had a shotgun that had seen it's last shot.  It sat around for several years and I finally got out the reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade and cut it up into pieces.  Each week for about a month, i threw a piece into the trash can.  The receiver got cut in half.  (That was the hardest part).  Anyway, I am convinced that no one was able to do anything with it after I got done.

You could also take it to your local police dept.  I'm sure they have a method of distroying guns and would be happy to oblige.
