I've been thinking of geting a whitney navy revolver from dixie gun works.  Are they any good?  I'm not as worried about a fine finissh as I am function and accuracy,  I can always refinish, but it's hard to correct a crocked barrel.

Thanks

They're as good as any of the Italian reproductions usually are, with the things to watch for being soft screws and springs - like on any of them.

Dixie wouldn't handle it if they weren't a quality item - and there 'should' be some sort of Warranty.

Re-read the catalog to see what their policy might be.

thanks, rite now I'm debating on either a rogers and spencer, whitney, or a new colt army.  I'll probably eventualy add all three to my collection.  I'm hopeing some one has one and can give me an impression of performance and what I'll have to do to it to get it rite.  So far every cap and  ball revolver I've got I've had to work on, if nothing more than changing the nipples for treso's.
