I had the happy experience to shoot an original 32 S & W Long NMA Conversion this last Sunday. A pard has it here and it's a pretty neat conversion. Has a recoil shield just around the firing pin area, (just enough to cover the rim diameter and a bit more) and is ramped so the cartridges don't hang up. It has the cylinder drilled thru without a doughnut added to it, but the cylinder is sleeved and the sleeves stick out of the nipple notches in the original cylinder.. Pretty neat conversion. It also sports checkered grips. I shot a stage with it as one of my Originals was not working well (I didn't do my home work). That 32 shot mighty fine.
It is an issued pistol and has all of the Sub- inspector marks on it, but the Cartouche is gone due to the checkering. Neat, Neat Pistol and heavier than  normal due to the bbl being sleeved.

I might try to acquire it from  the owner, as it's another Remy Conversion....my middle name...LOL!

It goes to show, that there's very little you can dream up, that someone else hasn't already done.  I once called R&D to find out if they could make their Remington conversion cylinder in .32-20.  I was thinking about relining the barrel.  They could make the cylinder, but I chickened out.
