When Star named him she asked what name should her hero bear and he said "Oh, scar".  Referring to the scar left by his little brown brother in VietNam. She assumed he was saying Oscar. He carried Oscar as his name thru the rest of the book but I want to say his given name was Evelyn or Cyril or something similar.
