howdy folks
I was tryin to figure out which derringer I couldent live without and thought I'd go right to them that knows. Im between the bond and the american. the bond is strong but big and heavy. the american is smaller lighter but I dont think its as tough or accurate. what do yall think?

Rowdy Ripley, Go with the Bond, it's a better gun and you can buy extra barrels in different caliber for it. You can't swap the barrels on an American Derringer

bond seems to be the favorite wherever I look, does the size ever bother ya?

Hell-Er High Water

I have a Cobra Enterprises Double Derringer in 38 Special that I have been shooting for a couple of years now that I am quite happy with.  You might look into one of these as an alternative.

They're about the same size, The Bond is just a more versatile firearm, It also has a faster barrel release for quicker reloads.

Go ahead and get the competition spring for the Bond when you get the gun if you do end up with a Bond.

Sure would be nice if Bond was available in CA but the only derringer allowed for sale is the Cobra.

I don't know if ANY new derringers can be sold in Maryland.

The bond seems a little heavy to me , I`ve owned a Davis 38 cal derringer made in CA. for the last 20 some odd years ...Derringers aren`t much fun to shoot , unless ya enjoy missing ...I didn`t buy the Bonds because I wanted one I could carry in my pocket when I go to town //I hardly notice the Davis is in my pocket it`s so much lighter . It also looks more like a Remmington copy . They do make some good hosters for the Bonds , but if I`m gonna wear a hoster I`m gonna carry a sixshooter.

   Greetings, All!

To give the devil some due, my ADC M-4 .44 Spl is a great shooter! CCI/Speer Shot Capsules filled with #12 work great up close, although California says NO to the .410, and I don't think We can change that without a dedicated campaign... Trigger is hell, though!

   Be Well!
