I just noticed that the MSRP's on some of the USFA guns have dropped!  The Single Action Army dropped from $1245 to $975.  Looks like they are also going to be stocking a lot more of the basic guns.  Hope this doesn't meen a drop in quality!

Very interesting.  I think it may well be a case of price increase = many fewer sales which prompted them to roll back the retail price.  I really doubt the quality will suffer as a result.  USFA has a reputation to uphold.  It is the quality of the firearm they produce which makes them different from all other companies producing reproductions.  I am glad to see they will be producing many more of the basic guns instead of having to wait a few months.  Gary Granger may respond to reasons for  the price rollback.  Regards,  Deadeye.

There's a couple of reasons for the price rollback.  Most importantly, let me say that quality and our manufacturing process hasn't changed.  We have added additional  machinery and people.   As the web site indicates, our core products are moving through the system at a much faster rate and at a lower cost to us.   Both dealer prices and retail prices have come down.  Margins have also decreased based on what we see our products are actually selling for around the country.

We are now stocking core products.  Core products include the Rodeo, Rodeo II, Cowboy and the Single Action.  All in 45 and 38 Sp, 4 3/4" and 5 1/2".  The SA is also now stocked in 45, 7 1/2".  All guns are stocked in hard rubber.  Other calibers are also being stocked in our Single Action model.   If a customer is looking for options (grips, engraving, etc), the order is then directed to the Custom Shop.

Of course  :-\  when I decided to buy USFA SA the price went up...after I buy them , the price goes down...my timing was wayyyyy off... as usual.  Im very pleased with my two new Single Actions....they look great and shoot right on.

I guess I will have to buy two more now while the price is down   ;D

The Rodeo II looks nice...do they offer other grip options?

Seems to me that if you actually bought one of the "standard" models described in the website and not one that required different grips or other special custom changes you may have a good arguement to make to get a partial refund.  I would call Gary Granger and plead your case. I dont think it would be fair to have paid 3 hundred more for a gun just to see it go down in price a few months later.  Safe shooting.  Deadeye.
