Which make of Spencer is best? Cimarron or Taylor's (56-50)

Looking to buy a Spencer in 56-50.  Which make is best or are they essentially the same?

Also where can you get the best price on one?

The Spencer 56-50 and other caliber models of the Spencer are imported from Armi Sport located in Italy by both Cimarron and Taylor's.  There is no difference in the Spencers sold by these two American importers, save their own company markings which appear on their respective Spencers.  Check with your local firearms dealer for the best pricing from either Cimmaron or Taylor's.

Aside from the markings address lines.. they are both Armi Sport's...
Taylor's Tammy Loy & Sue got the ball rolling about 5 years ago .. they had exclusive import rights.
Mike Harvey's Cimarron came on board about 1 1/2 ago.
I believe you can find them at Dixie Gun Works, Mid South at times .. the Marshell (forum leader here ) had them from time to time.

There is one in the Classified ads here right now at a fairly reasonable price if 44 Russian is your caliber.
However, that caliber has been discontinued.

Howdy,

I ordered mine from Buffalo Arms.  It had to ship to my local dealer/FFL, of course.  I ordered, cases, dies, bullets and  mould for the 56-50 from Buffalo arms as well.  Once you start shooting it, you won't go back to the others!!  Also, it is the easiest rifle I have ever cleaned.  Good Luck!
