Just to a note to everyone that I'm overseas at the moment.  Unfortunately, I have very limited e-mail access - much less than anticipated.  And for anyone who is curious - no, I'm not someplace where I'm being shot at.  At least not so far!

I'll be home in a week.

Don't feel sorry for Scout.  Rumor has it he is on the beach in Cancun.  The only shots he's worried about right now have Tequila I them.

Howdy!

Well, Old US Scout (  ;)  ;D  ;D ) needs to heed EVERY kind of shot that heads his way ...

Best to ya, Commander, Sir!

I have returned from my trip to the Giant Sandbox!   A very worthwhile trip but also very fatiguing!  I've spent the last couple of days just trying to get over the jet lag while catching up on my inbox - both at home and at work.

When I went over last year I had excellent access to the Internet and expected the same access on this trip.  However, I found I only had limited access and it wasn't very reliable.  It sometimes took me over 20 minutes just to log on - let alone read and/or send any messages.  Consequently, I devoted what little time I had on the computer to keeping in contact with the family.

The good news is that no new overseas trips are planned for a few months.
