Howdy all,

I have dropped off the forum for a bit. The real world is a pain. I plan to attend one or more days of the Annual Two-Gun Shoot, at Garnett. I will not be shooring but I will be "shooting". Take a look at this preview from the April Powder Creek Cowboys SASS event.

http://www.archive.org/details/Powder_Creek_Cowboys_April_07

Download it and give me your thoughts and opinions. I plan to promote both SASS and NCOWS via the world of Internet Video.  :)

Cheers

Well, Kiteman, I look forward to meeting you at Garnett...even though I suspect you probably first heard of "Cow Patty" on the 'Dr Demento Show'...not that I would have any personal knowledge of the aforementioned Doctor.  ;)   Make sure to bring along a supply of brass keys to attach to your kites if you intend to fly in the weather we had last year.

I quite believe you Dr Bob.
I consider NCOWS as different from SASS as a Stock 1866  rifle vs an action job 1866 with an aluminum elevator. Both work, both meet the needs of the owner, but one attempts to realistically portray what the original may have worked like, while the other will assist the owner to be as fast as possible. I like Powder Creek for it's camaraderie.
I also see the KVC and NCOWS meet my other desire of historical accuracy.

That is why I look forward to finally attend my first NCOWS event. It will be as an observer,  I want to use my observations and video to assist in my continued creation of a portral of my Great-Great Grandfather in Kansas about 1880. I will be nosy, and taking detail to make sure I have my understanding of the Tally book and the covenants of just appropriate behaviour.

Cheers

A mere $45 will get you through the weekend.  And before you ask about ammunition requirements, just bring all you got!

By the way, Major Matt, did you find a partial box of brass shotgun shells in your vehicle?

Grizz,

I did find your shotgun ammo and will bring it.  All I got for ammo.....I don't know about that.  Finally got my Dillon running and have been busy.....

Okay, Major Matt, let me rephrase that.......

Bring all the ammo you can carry!

That might be enough!
