I am thinking about haiving ,,probably tru-ivory,,,,put on a '60Army Cimarron/Uberti,,,,,and would like recomendations about souces for custom installation that could capture the honest 'Colt' feel as much as possible.
For those that have Colts,,ya will know what I mean,,,not that Uberti is bad,,or wrong,,or anything like that,,but Colts do ,,umm,,,have a unique feel. Hard to explain,,but id like to have a set installed by someone that knows what I mean,,and is realiable, competent beyond belief,  and can place that 'feel'  on the Cimarron  '60 Army.

Any thoughts on this folks ?

I have a Patterson with Ivory Grips done by Dan Chesiak and I am very confident he knows what you are looking for, but I do not have his contact info.  If you search his name you will find many special firearms projects where he is the grip maker.

The other person is Paul Persinger at Gripmaker.com.

Doc,   I am curious.  Do you actually shoot your Paterson?   I have one also, but have never fired it, mainly because there is no cartridge conversion for it.  Safe shooting.  Deadeye.

No, I don't shoot the one I have with the Ivories.  I picked up one of the Patterson Revolvers with engraving and silver inlays and Ivories with a beautiful case and accessories from America Remembers, and I just can't bring myself to shoot it.
