Wanted: gunsmith to do trigger job-H&R handi rifle

need a list of names and contact info for gunsmiths that can do a trigger job on an H&R handi rifle.

Not much can be done with this trigger...you can lighten it up some by pressing on the cocked hammer as you pull the trigger...

The ones I have and my pard's HR's all have good triggers from the box.

Did you get a bad one ??

The comment about pressing forward on the cocked hammer is a good one.

Doing so 'burnishes' the contact areas, and it's an easy fix for you to try.

Just be certain the piece is unloaded - cock it and press the hammer forward as you pull the trigger.

Do this until 'you' notice a marked smoothness and you're set.

We used to do this on M1911A1's to help 'mate' the bearing surfaces after a trigger job was performed.

David White at Precision Rifle works is a specialist in single shots such as the Thompson Center and the NEF/H&R series.  He has done custom barrel work for me and is a great guy.
