Hello everyone. I was just curious if anyone out there, or your spouse, have the Holy Terror gunbelt by Mernickle and what they think of it. I am a curvy woman and my current belt just does not sit right. I read a whole bunch of info on this belt and how it is made for women, but I wanted to get the opinion of people who have already bought it and use it. Any info, for the positive or negative, whould be greatly appreciated as it is a lot of money. Thanks in advance.

No I don't have a Holy Terror gun belt but I do have a Mernickle rig and he does great work.  Mernickle will cut any of his gun belts on a curve to help them to fit women better as will Kirkpatrick.  I see a lot of women wearing the gin belts high on thier hips or even at their waist.  You will get better results if you push the belt down to the wide part of your hips and tighten it up so that it will stay there.  You accomplish two things with that...1) You have your guns lower and they are easier to draw because you don't have to pull them up the your armpits before they get out of the holster.  A drop on the holster will help that even more.  2) It secures the gun belt so that the belt doesn't move up with the gun when you draw the gun.  Remember you want the holster to fit the gun snug enough to hold it in while running but not so snug that it makes drawing difficult.

You also want the holster cut in enough in the back so that you can get your index finger underneath the trigger guard and down enough in the front so that you can get your thumb on the back strap of the gun.  This makes for an easier transistion when drawing your off hand gun.

The Holy Terror rig looks like a good rig.  I was thinking about purchasing one myself until I won a Handlebar Doc rig from Kirkpatrick.  Now I'm looking for a new rig from Kirkpatrick because the I don't really like the Handlebar Doc Rig for me.  I'm pretty curvy too and I think that the design of the holsters and how they attach to the belt lets them move a bit too much when I run.  I have the holsters picked out I just have to find out what exactly they are called.

Mernickle's lead time right now is 9 weeks.  Kirkapatricks is about 3 weeks I think.

Good luck with a new leather purchase and I hope that I have helped some.

Check out the Kirkpatrick Lady Tequila belt.  It was designed for the ladies figures not for men.  My wife has one and loves it.  She finally has a belt that fits her curves.  Most stages you will only need the gun belt and not a shotgun belt if you want.
