Need advice: Central Monitor Alarm for the Homestead

Pards, After building our new home (for the past 10 months), finally closing on our constuction mortgage and moving in, our insurance company tells us their underwriters require a Central Station Alarm Monitoring System...Burlar & Fire . Well, we've never had an alarm system where we lived, and this comes as a surprise, but we need one...and soon. I'd appreciate any advice and info as to: What systems you're using? Are you happy with your company? Was the system installed by the company or by yourself? Wired or wireless? The list goes on...Thanks, M&M
