Hello SSS,

This standard box, used for Spencer and Burnside cartridges, meas. 8 ¼" length x 2 ¼" height x 4" width. Black leather box exhibits some minor cracking along outer folds. Bottom and reverse of box with areas where original finish has worn away. Maker marked on side " CS STORMS" is visible but faint. Stitching is strong throughout box. Both inner and outer flap straps are present as well as the finial. Bottom of box with two strapping buckles both affixed with rivets. Inner compartment with wood block drilled to contain 20 cartridges. One hole still retains cartridge remains. Two straps on reverse meas. 1 7/8" are present. Edging of all rivets and finial with green verdigris wear. Box shows overall use but in nice shape.
