I just bought my first '58 from Cabelas right (only days) before they increased the price by $20!

I used a gift certificate that I got for my birthday in October and a $20 email coupon and got it for a steal.  Imagine my surprise when the 2007 catalog came out and the price had risen.  My luck is normally the oposite...   Is this a good sign for this year?

Anyway, I haven't shot it yet, but am looking forward to shooting a yankee gun what I stole off'n tha battlefield. ;D  I'm even thinking of getting an "outlaw".

Cool, Trinity, mein Freund!

Will you be shootin' your new "toy" at TITB III?  You should consider it!

I've just had a learning experience a couple weeks ago.  While I've shot in all temps, except for Army, I haven't shot much in the rain.  Duh - go figgure.  ;)  Well, I was determined to shoot my first 2007 NCOWS match C&B.  With my Pietta '58 NMA.  Well, let me tell ya.  Moisture and powder (I was actually using Pyrodex pellets) were a concern, but turned out to be no issue.  HOWEVER, I had 1-3 misfires EACH stage 'cause the percussion caps, both CCI and Remington, couldn't handle the moisture!  They've dried and are fine NOW, but it was a challenge!  Still had fun, 'tho.  All that humidity and the overcast conditions produced some BEAUTIFUL flames and mega-clouds of lovely white smoke !!!!!  It was worth the hassle!  My cartridge riflle and shoot-gun:  no problems from the humid-id-ity at all.

Well, I didn't mean to hijack YOUR thread, Papa Bear!  ;)   ;D

Howdy Marshal!

It's always nice to meet a fellow cowboy from overseas!  Hey, you should be getting your eye-talian firearms cheaper than we here... right? ;D

SHB, I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to compete in the black yet... ;D ;D  I'll be there soon, though.

Folks, I'm moving to Italy!  I just wonder if those Italian girls I once knew in Germany are still single. ;D

When, Trinity?

Well, I understand that Paola is no longer single :(.  I still need to find out about Patrizia.... but then there's also Anna-Maria and her curly blonde hair.  Can't forget Silvia, Moira, Francesca, Monica...   Oh boy!  I'll be in the ticket line tomorrow morning.
