Hello the fire!
Does anyone make a large loop lever for the Winchester '94 in .357 magnum?  My son and I are watching "The Rifleman" on Encore Westerns, and he'd like to try one!

If you do get one - the 'experience' won't be close to the same.

The Winchesters used by  the Silver Screen cowboys John Wayne, Lucas McCain and Josh Randall were Model 1892's, and that used by 'The Rifleman' had a screw 'trip' installed on the lever to actuate the trigger.

As they were specifically built for the shorter, 'revolver-sized' cartridge - the lever travel is correspondingly shorter.

The Model 1894 was built for a 'rifle-sized' round - the .30-30 - regardless of any current chambering - and it has a far longer travel whose smoothness is somewhat lacking.

But - if nothing else - it'll look good - especially if your Model 1894 is the short-barrelled 'Trapper' version.

Thanks pard.  I already knew about the screw in the lever.  I think my son just wants the carbine he carries to look cool!  He's nine, and already knows about "style points!"

Watching the Rifleman, also. Here's a link for info about the actual rifle:

I have a 92 Rossi Trapper with the big loop. The big loop makes it harder to cycle the action, but it is my small tribute to the Rifleman. It was my favorite show, when I was growing up.

I have the TRAPPER in .357 considered the large loop myself - same reasons as your son I have to admit, however a friend of mine has just got a WRANGLER s/h in .44, his other Winnie is a standard LEGACY and he doesn't like the large loop one bit.  As yet I haven't shot it so I can't comment on what its like to use.  Here in the UK I think the part retails for about £60.00.  I think I'll still get one though as the large loop certainly looks the part.
