I.m pretty excited and I need to tell somebody.  Last week I bought two Taurus Gaucho's with the high polished, Sundance finish in 45LC.  I've never loaded 45 colt before, so, I looked up a load for the 200 gr semi-wad cutters that I had  and loaded my first batch with 6.5 gr.s of bullseye.  I took the revolvers to the range and couldn't have been more delighted.  The guns functioned flawlessly and the accuracy was superb.  And, cleaning up the Sundance finish after using dirty bullseye powder was really easy.  I shot for 30 minutes at 50 feet...the last 15 with just a hold in the center of the paper where the bullseye used to be.  It has been about 10 years since shot competitively with S&W tuned "L" Frames.  Neither of which shot any better than the Gauchos did right out of the box.  I had not shot much single action before now and was surprised that the tiny sights were so easy to use.  I could draw a quick "fine" bead on every target and my sisty year old eyes anen't that sharp anymore.  Man am I glad I buoght the Taurus's.  The acitions are smooth as silk, the triger pull is pretty good and the revolvers are beautiful.

Sounds as though you got just what you needed.  Welcome to CAS and to CAS City a10mann ;D

I love it when a plan comes together.   :D

Taurus makes a fine product at a reasonable price.  Sounds like their foray into the single action market is going well.

Silver Creek Slim

I have handled Gauchos, but have not shot them. I was very impressed with how smooth the action was out of the box.

I love the smell of Black Powder in the morning!

Paper Chaser

I've a pair like Slim and am pleased; smooth and accurate. But they really don't like my BP loads.  Fun to shoot however.  A shooting pard of mine got a pair in the matte finish SS and he is real satisfied (shot clean at Rabbit Ridge) but still misses his Rugers.
