How long a wait?

Howdy all,
      I ordered a Schofield model 2 Founders model back in Jan., 2006 from my local gun shop through Navy Arms, naturally it was a backorder. The dealer has called several times to check on it but we're still waiting. Question, is this a "normal" waiting period? I have about decided to furgitaboutit and go some other route to obtain one. Has anyone any suggestion on a quicker wholesaler my gun dealer can go through? Thanks......John Henry

Holy Crap! I just hope that aint the case of my order with Uberti. I placed my order in Sept. Gun dealer called me the next day and told me it would be 90 days before I can get them.

Well John, starting to sound like I might be in the same boat as you. Called the gun shop about my order that was due this month. They are now saying January!!!

In my case, it's a new product and lagging behind on import from Uberti....
It will be a Cimarron exclusive, at least at first , and they have not seen them in country as yet, Except the Gun author's & reviewers samples.
My FFL orders direct from Cimarron, I'm suopose to be 6th. on Cimarrons list.

However, thanks for the Joel Rezac tip....I've added him to my address book.

I got an update of sorts from my dealer on Navy Arms via his distributor, it seems Navy Arms is in some sort of financial straits or some such and is a dead end for ordering Uberti weapons. I've taken Joss' advice and emailed Joel Rezac for some assistance. thank Joss..........John Henry

A update on my long journey to obtain a Schofield. An email (again) to Navy Arms brought forth this information. One of their four distributors, Glenn Zanders Sporting Goods in Ill., is supposed to recieve a large shipment of Schofields in early Jan., 2007. So happens this is where mine is backordered from. Here's hoping!
