clearance

Howdy Pards and Pardettes.

I have a pair of Beretta Laramies, one of them broke the hand spring, but I called Beretta and they sent me a new spring and pin.  The other rattles almost like an Army .45.  I need to know what the spec is for clearance between the barrel latch and the frame studs/bosses.  If mine has too much maybe I'll have to send it back to Beretta to get a new latch fitted.

These are my first .38 caliber guns and I like them a bunch.  The New Model #3 fits my definition as the epitome of 19th Century Single action Social Pistol.

The barrel to frame fit should be tight.  If you can move the barrel in relation to the frame, I'd send it back!
